A leading international commodities trading firm is looking for a market risk manager to join their international team! This person would be sitting in New York and doing the risk management for the trading desk, covering natural gas and power. In this role, you will be ensuring that the market risk, valuation control, liquidity risk, credit risk and operational risks of the desk are being appropriately measured and monitored. This is a high exposure role where you would be reporting directly to the CRO and helping to drive risk management initiatives on an international level.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Risk Assessments and audits for the trading desk

  • Maintaining and revising risk reports

  • Acting as the New York representative for risk when liaising with international teams

  • Monitoring the Daily P&L

  • Conducting monthly valuation control

  • Working closely with the CRO, market risk managers and credit risk managers

What We Would Like from You:

  • Prior Market Risk experience, preferably at least 4-6 years

  • Knowledge of Openlink Endur Software

  • Proficiency in Excel VBA

  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to adhere to deadlines

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
